A note from your hosts
“We hope Cutty Cabin feels like your home away from home.”
Lisa & Chris
We found this little cabin as a peaceful retreat from Seattle with our small kids, and fell for it on the first paddle. Every corner has been furnished with care so it’s an easy, cozy place to cook, play and sleep deeply.
The name is a nod to the lake itself. “Cutty” is the nickname for the cutthroat trout stocked here every spring, and a cuddy cabin is the snug little shelter on a boat. Both felt just right.
We want you to love this place as much as we do. Come for a romantic weekend, an unplugged family week or a remote-work reset, and leave a little slower than you arrived.
The Lake · Kayaks, canoe & paddleboard
Calm, clear water with no gas motors and no tides, warm enough for summer swims, and 70 feet of it right outside your door.
Slip the 17-foot canoe, kayak or paddleboard into the lake any season of the year. From mid-May to mid-October, swim out to the floating dock, soak up the sun and dive back in. Bring a rod for the cutthroat trout stocked every spring.
As evening settles in, fire up the grill on the deck beneath cedar and pine, gather at the lakefront fire pit to watch the sunset, and rinse off in the outdoor shower. After dark, the hot tub and the stars are all yours.
Corn hole, bocce, ladder toss and darts wait in the outbuilding by the water. On rainy days, curl up with puzzles, board games or a round of karaoke.
The Cabin · 1,200 sq ft · Dog-friendly
Lake views from every living space, dreamy beds and a fenced yard that makes this a truly dog-friendly Hood Canal getaway.
Wake to lake views from a king bed with a Casper mattress. Guests rave about the linens.
A queen with an XL twin bunk above, both on Saatva mattresses. Air mattresses and a travel crib are ready when you need them.
Gather by the wood stove for movie night on the 50-inch TV, or settle in for a long board game.
We love to cook, and it shows. Good pots and pans, a coffee grinder, blender and pretty serveware for everything from pancakes to a holiday feast.
A real desk with a monitor, lake views, 1,500 Mbps wifi and a reading corner for when the laptop closes.
Kids’ plates and utensils, a high chair, travel crib, baby monitors, a sound machine, plus toys and books to explore.

The Field Guide
Belfair is a wonderful base camp for Olympic Peninsula hikes, Hood Canal oysters and slow seaside towns. These are the places we return to again and again with our kids and our pup.
